BIOGRAPHY

Mark Hemmings, originally from Cheshire, completed his professional actor training at Arts Educational Schools London in 2009. During his training, Mark was fortunate enough to work with various actors and directors on a wide variety of stage productions including, William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Stephen Sondheim's Follies and Moira Buffini's Loveplay. Alongside, work for stage - Mark gained valuable experience in screen acting during his time in training, working with former BBC producer and writer, Michael Ferguson and Channel 4 Director, Damien Goodwin on a screenplay of Harold Pinter's Betrayal in which Mark was cast as the adulterous husband and friend, Jerry. The film premiered at London's famous Gate Cinema in Notting Hill.

Emphasising that Mark is very much an actor/singer his vocal experience ranges from presenting the role of Al Jolson on a National Tour to working with fellow actors on a community based project in West London saluting the great Music Hall and variety artistes of yesteryear, directed by Stephen Dickinson and Adrian James.

Following his professional training, Mark's previous work with both BBC local and national networks as a freelance programme contributor and announcer, has been honed and polished meaning he is now able to provide commercial and promotional voiceover work of a high quality. Mentored for a time, by Head of Voice at Arts Educational Schools London, and former BBC Producer Elspeth Morrison and BBC Radio Drama Company actor Ben Crowe - Mark has been able to gain invaluable insider knowledge and guidance from these two exceptional sources. As with all drama school training, Mark worked closely with some of the finest voice and accent coaches in the industry today namely, Robert Price (RADA), Carol Fairlamb (Regents Park Open Air Theatre) and Sandra Butterworth (English National Opera).
